With nearly 20 years of experience in skills development and capacity building in the African SME sector, AMSCO's primary mandate is to help companies in Africa become globally competitive, profitable and sustainable.
It seeks to achieve this objective by providing professional management and capacity building services to selected African businesses. We currently have a client in the Agricultural sector who seeks to fill the position of an Agribusiness Manager.
This company has been in existence since 1997 but it started its operations in 2004. The company is equally into manufacturing where they process tomato and mango into pulp with a concentration of 10%-12% brix and 16%-18% respectively. Under their new business strategy, they seek to produce about 50% of the raw materials to feed the industry.they also sell consequently, maize and beans as rotational crops for good soil management
This is a management position which requires tact and experience. the prospective manger will report to the managing Director and will supervise six other workers.he will be charged with oversight responsibilities of management and technical operations of the company.
he would be made to design and manage the implementation of company policies in its production. he will also develop the company's standard operating procedures to enhance growth and production.he/she will also be responsible for the recruitment and training of staff of the agribusiness department who will imbibe the vision and objectives of the company.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum qualification of a Diploma in agriculture from a well recognized agric college or university. he should have adequate experience in production management and Human resource Management.
A good working knowledge of irrigation technology and an excellent skill in chillies pepper production will be an added advantage. Factory Production Management will be needed to achieve efficiency, quality and growth.
