R600, 000 - R800, 000 CTC neg. Incl. Benefits.  A vacancy exists for a Traffic and Transportation Engineer to commence duties in the Pretoria office, in the Transport Sector as soon as possible.

Main responsibilities:

• Project management of traffic engineering and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) projects;
• Undertake Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Studies;
• Development of the traffic engineering and ITS business country-wide, including marketing, tendering, client liaison, product development, and internal capacity building;
• Integration of services with The Company's international partners
• Provision of inputs into other projects and liaison with team members;
• Adherence to quality procedures;
• Mentoring and capacity building of staff in the traffic engineering field across all the offices;
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in the fields of Transportation and Traffic Engineering;
• Act as Custodian of the Traffic Engineering and Transportation planning Knowledge Centre.

Minimum qualifications, skills and experience:

• BSc Civil Eng degree;
• Pr. Eng essential;
• Ten to fifteen years experience in traffic and transportation engineering, with specialised experience in traffic engineering;
• Proficiency in the application of traffic analysis software packages;
• Tender preparation and contract administration
• Experience would be advantageous.
